I came back because I heard they had finally caved and made a safer seas mode, only to learn that this mode was completely and utterly useless for me. The only way you can enjoy this game, is if you are okay with hours of hard work disappearing in the blink of an eye, because that will happen to you, especially if you are new to the game and still learning. This game does not and will not respect your time. In practice, this means that now, every time you log in and attempt to get a bit of progress in, running into another ship is an instant death sentence, unless you are incredibly good at the game already. Now, however, they are the only ones left truly playing this game. There were of course people yearning for PvP, it is nothing new, they have always been there. I originally played this game when it came out, when it was new and fresh, and everyone was still learning. That in itself is not an issue and is a feature of the game - The problem arises, now that most of the casual and friendly player base that used to be in the game has left for greener pastures. I get that it is called Sea of Thieves and is a game that heavily pushes PvP. No, I cannot recommend this game if you, like me are a casual player. Disclaimer: This is a review aimed at players who think they can find some casual fun in this game.
